Bridges Academy (BA) is an educational institution in Lajpat Nagar, South Delhi for Afghan children living in Delhi.
Many people are aware of the instability in Afghanistan. It is hard to imagine that this country has been suffering for about 50 years. Many Afghans are hard-pressed to remember a time of peace in their homeland in the midst of all this chaos and hardship. There are currently thousands and thousands of Afghans living in South Delhi waiting for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) to resettle them internationally.
Being able to educate these Afghan children and youth has given us a great privilege to develop their minds and hearts for a brighter future. BA is also looking to further our program to strategically reach out to these Afghan families to cater to their practical and emotional needs.
Bridges Academy is seeking partnerships to stand with us to serve the next generation of Afghan leaders whom we have the privilege of shaping today.
